Lake Atitlan from inside
Leaving here for 20 years with great joy
In Guatemala, land of the eternal spring, Lake Atitlán is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the world. Unique weather, spring temperature all year round, fantastic volcanos and sunset views and living Mayan culture make it a place to enjoy life and savour time. Neither to say this is a young territory that sometimes get hit by earthquakes, huracan storm or volcanic eruptions... Sounds scary well it is sometimes inconvenient because we can lose electricity for 4 days or get cut from the city for some days... but when the sun shine again well it makes the fears go away. Plus to see the locals dealing with all these natural disasters is a great source of humility and inspiration.

I have 2 girls born in the area, 8 and 10 who are going to Escuela Caracole in San Marcos La Laguna. And let me tell you it is a great place to live...
